The bathrooms in our new house are pretty gross. Water damage, odors, mixed materials from renovations over the years…

We decided to just rip nearly everything out and start fresh.

We took out the toilets, sinks, vanities, some of the flooring, and some of the tile. This is enough so our floor guy can get started. We are putting down new wood throughout the house. The old wood was severely damaged throughout so we couldn’t just resurface it.

I’ve got a fancy new TOTO on order for the master bath. We’ll likely get another for the guest bath, but our immediate goal is to get a single functioning bathroom so we can move in. The master bath has a weird shape, so we need to find a rather small vanity. We are considering putting some storage between the studs in the drywall, but haven’t picked out any fixtures for that yet. No idea what we’ll do with the shower.

We took our load of demo junk to the dump (along with some debris the previous owner left), and once again dropped off 1160 pounds. So much junk!
